Lidia Ferritto was educated at the Ursuline Convent Wimbledon and University
College Hospital London and graduated in 1987. She received her Licentiate from the Royal College of Surgeons in 1988 and taught at University College in the Departments of Restorative Dentistry and Periodontology .
She carried out her Specialist Training at Guy’s Hospital and in 1995 graduated with a Masters Degree in Periodontology in 1993. Shortly after she was granted inclusion on the General Dental Council register as a Specialist in Periodontology. A further diplomate from the Royal College of Surgeons followed in 1997.
Her advanced implant surgical training took place in the UK and Switzerland . In 2000, she was asked to teach at Trinity University College Dublin where she carried out implant placement and surgical research projects. Her paper on Implant treatment has been published internationally .
Since 2006 , she has worked as a full time Specialist Periodontist and Implant Surgeon. She has lectured for many of the major implant companies and continues to teach and mentor other surgeons.
